In order to realize our ambitious growth goals and mission of becoming the #1 shorts and trousers brand in the world, MR MARVIS is seeking a highly organized and proactive Junior Material Planner & Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply planning and material procurement, mastery of Excel, and the ability to collaborate with various teams and suppliers. This position is crucial to ensure our production runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for sufficient availability of raw materials as well as on-time completion of finished goods. You will be working closely with Demand Planning, Sourcing & Production Development team as well as our suppliers and manufacturers in Portugal.

What you'll do

• Forecast demand and place orders for raw materials, including trims, linings, buttons, zippers, and other garment components;

• Monitor raw material inventory levels, ensure necessary availability for production, and minimize holding costs;

• Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and according to schedule;

• Coordinate with factories and respond to ad-hoc requests for additional materials when production needs change;

• Maintain clear communication with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.

• Prepare regular reports on inventory status and supplier performance.

What you'll bring

• Minimum one year of experience in buying / procurement for fashion companies (clothing, footwear or accessories);

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields;

• Knowledge of ERP systems and strong proficiency in Excel;

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail;

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and negotiate with external partners;

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;

• Fluency in English, Portuguese is a plus;

• For non-Europeans, a valid working permit for the Netherlands is required.
